Louise DeCarl Adler was a judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of California. She was first appointed to the bankruptcy bench on March 5, 1984. She retired on June 30, 2022.[1][2]

Education

Judge Adler attended Chatham College for her Bachelor of Arts in 1966 and Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, for her J.D. in 1970.[3][1]

Career

Adler engaged in private practice in San Diego before her appointment to the bench in 1984. She also served as a panel trustee for bankruptcy proceedings for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California from 1974 to 1979.[1]
