W. Douglas Baird was a judge for the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He served the court from 1988 until January 7, 2013.[1][2][3]

Biography and Education

Baird was born in Knoxville, TN on April 29, 1943. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Colorado in 1965 and his law degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 1968.[1]

Career

Baird began his career in 1968 as a private practice lawyer. He worked in that capacity until 1986. He also served as the City Attorney for Treasure Island, FL from 1972 to 1986 and as a judge of the Pinellas Park Municipal Court from 1972 to 1973. In 1986, he became a judge of the Pinellas County Court. Two years later, he joined the circuit court.[1]
