Jim Goodwin is a judge of the Sullivan County Criminal Court of the Second Judicial District in Sullivan County, Tennessee.[1] He was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1. His current term expires in 2022.[2]

Education

Goodwin received his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1991 and his J.D. degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphries School of Law in 1994.[3][4]

Career

Before his election to the court in 2014, Goodwin served as an assistant district attorney for the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice.[4]
