The New Mexico Proposed Amendment 1, Absentee Voting, also known as Constitutional Amendment No.1, was on the 1940 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The proposition allowed for a constitutional amendment addressing absentee voting.[1]
