The New Mexico School Board Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure increased the size of school boards located within school districts with a population greater than 200,000 to nine members. The measure also allowed the election to be conducted by mail-in ballot, or as otherwise provided by law.[1][2]
