An Arcadia School District Bond Measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Arcadia school district area which is in Buffalo and Trempealeau Counties.
This measure was defeated
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $23 million in order to build a new elementary/middle school in the district as well as pay for renovation costs of the old elementary/middle school facility.[1] School officials noted that student population had been increasing consistently and there was now a strong need for a bigger school building. While officials noted that in the long run the benefit would outweigh the costs, some residents noted that this would just add a larger burden to taxpayers in the district.[2]
