Two candidates seek Greene County judgeship
June 1, 2010
Catskill, New York: Two candidates, Chief Assistant District Attorney Charles “Chip” Tailleur and associate court attorney David E. Woodin, are running to replace the retiring Judge Daniel K. Lalor on the Greene County Court.
Tailleur, who is running on the Republican district, was admitted to the bar in 1993 and worked as an attorney in the private sector before becoming an assistant district attorney. He claims to, "have the type of background and temperament to do the job and to do it well."
Woodin, as a court attorney, has worked with the judges of Greene County for 28 years. Most recently, he served as Judge Lalor's confidential law clerk. He was admitted to the bar in 1982. In a recent statement to the press, he said, "I hope to have the opportunity to build upon my experience working in the courts to continue to serve the people of Greene County as our next county judge."
The election will be held in November.[1]
