The Illinois Appoint All Judges Amendment was a constitutional convention referral on the December 15, 1970 ballot in Illinois. It asked whether judges should be appointed by the governor from a list of nominees or elected by the people. The public voted to elect judges rather than have them appointed. [1] [2]
