Jane Triche-Milazzo confirmed by Senate for Louisiana judgeship

Louisiana: A 98-0 Senate vote on Tuesday, October 11, confirmed Jane Triche-Milazzo to a federal judgeship on the Eastern District of Louisiana. Triche-Milazzo was recommended to President Obama by Senator Mary Landrieu and Senator David Vitter concurrently with the recommendation of Stephen Higginson to the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Upon receiving the news of her confirmation Triche-Milazzo said, "I am truly honored by the trust President Obama and the Senate have placed in me through my nomination and confirmation. As I undertake these new responsibilities, I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Louisiana."[1]
