Litchfield Elementary School District is a school district in Arizona. The district was the 25th-largest school district in the state in the 2013–2014 school year and served 10,707 students.[1]

Litchfield Elementary School District is located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Litchfield Elementary School District is located in southwestern Arizona in Maricopa County. Phoenix is its county seat and the state capital. It is also the largest city in Arizona. Maricopa County was home to 4,167,947 residents between 2010 and 2015, according to United States Census Bureau.[2]

Demographics

Maricopa County outperformed Arizona as a whole in terms of higher education achievement between 2010 and 2014. The United States Census Bureau found that 30.0 percent of county residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree compared to 27.1 percent for state residents. The median household income for the county was $53,689 compared to $49,928 statewide. County residents lived below the poverty level at a rate of 17.1 percent, while that rate was 17.4 percent for state residents.[2]

Jodi Gunning is the superintendent of the Litchfield Elementary School District. Gunning was appointed superintendent in August 2017. Gunning's previous career experience includes working as an instructional coach, principal, and the district's Title I director.[5]
