Aiken County School District Bond Measure (May 2010)

An Aiken County School District Bond Measure was on the May 25, 2010 ballot in Aiken County.

This measure seeks to create a bond in the amount of $236 million in order to rebuild and construct new additions to schools in the district. This would raise sales taxes in the county by 1 cent in order to pay for the bond.[1] School officials are hoping that the bond will pass because it has been over 10 years since they asked for a bond to help rebuild the school facilities. It will cost around $40,000 to run the election.[2]
