An Allegan School District Bond Measure was on the May 8, 2012 ballot in the Allegan school district area which is in Allegan County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,148 (70.52%)
- NO 480 (29.48%)[1]
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $18.5 million in order to help pay for facility improvements, upgrades to the athletic complex and new technology in the district. Since it was approved, the bond will not raise current tax rates just extend the current bond repayment levy for the life of the new bond.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall Allegan Public Schools, Allegan County, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Eighteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($18,500,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefore, for the purpose of: erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to and partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; acquiring, installing and equipping educational technology for school facilities; constructing, equipping, developing and improving athletic/physical education facilities, elementary school playgrounds, and play fields; purchasing school buses; and developing and improving sites?[3][4] |
