Marysville School District Bond Measure (February 2010)
There was a Marysville School District Bond Measure on the February 9 ballot in Snohomish County for voters in the Marysville school district.
This measure was defeated
- YES 7,040 (53.21%)
- NO 6,191 (46.79%)

Although this measure got the majority of votes, it did not reach the 60 percent threshold needed for school bonds to pass.[2]
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $78,000,000 in order to replace and equip two elementary schools and also acquire and improve ofther school buildings in the district. [3]
The schools that will mainly be getting this bond money are in need of repairs because they are the oldest schools within the district. They are in need of major repairs in order to be able to serve the student populations that need them.[4] A earlier bond, taken out in 1990, will be paid off in 2010 so even though this bond is being proposed, it will also not raise taxes because the other bond will no longer be needing to get paid as well. School officials are hoping this insight will help voters vote in favor of the bond so that needed repairs can be done.[5]
