A North Olympic Library Tax Increase measure was on the August 17, 2010 ballot in the North Olympic library district area which is in Clallam County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 14,299 (59.1%)Approveda
  • NO 9,895 (40.9%)[1]

This measure sought to raise the current library tax from $.33 to $.50 of $1,000 of assessed property value in the district. Library officials sought to get this issue on the ballot because they believed that they needed more funding unless residents want to see basic services provided by the library cut. Cuts had been made to other services and the library was hoping no more would have to be made.[2]
