Recall supporters
The text of the recall petition against Erdman reads, "We, the undersigned, being qualified electors request that Mark Erdman, Council Member for the City of Gladstone be recalled for the reason of insubordination."[3]

To trigger a recall election of a city official in North Dakota, recall organizers need to collect signatures "equal in number to 25 percent of the voters of the political subdivision who voted in the most recent election in which the official sought to be recalled was on the ballot, not including other recall elections."[4]
