The Texas School Safety Fund Amendment was not on the ballot in Texas as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024.[1]
The amendment would have established a school safety fund in the state constitution to fund projects that ensure school safety.[1]

To put a legislatively referred constitutional amendment before voters, a two-thirds (66.67%) vote is required in both the Texas State Senate and the Texas House of Representatives.
This amendment was introduced as House Joint Resolution 1 on November 8, 2023. On November 17, 2023, the state House passed HJR 1 in a vote of 144-3. The amendment did not receive a vote before the session adjourned.[1]
