Laiche ran for election to the 12th Judicial District.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 14.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Andrea Ducote Aymond and Kerry Spruill.

Education
Laiche received an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1990, and a J.D. from Southern University Law Center in 1993.[3]
Career
Laiche is the director of the law firm Provosty, Sadler, deLaunay, Fiorenza & Sobel.[4]
