I've been a practicing attorney for 20 plus years. I have a solo practice in Brunswick where I focus on both civil and criminal litigation. I live in Freeport with my wife and two daughters.
  • As a litigation attorney for over 20 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life to solve their particular problems in the most cost-effective and efficient way possible.
  • Both in my practice and as a former Commissioner on the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Elections Practices, I maintain a high degree of integrity that is unwavering.
  • I do not rely on rhetoric or mud slinging. I want to solve problems, and when I disagree with someone, I will do so respectfully not with ad hominem attacks.
I'm fiscally responsible and want the government to be so as well. It's important to distinguish between wants and needs when deciding how to spend the people's taxes. As an attorney, I am always impressed with the quality of the judiciary in Maine, and I want to continue that tradition. I am interested in educating the public more about how mental health conditions impact all of us whether directly or indirectly. I want to work on finding the appropriate balance between protecting vulnerable children and limiting the government's intervention into intra-family affairs. I want to maximize the individual rights of all Mainers in economic and personal matters without forcing any particular beliefs on anyone. I believe in live and let live, I and I do not want to outlaw anything simply because I personally do not agree with it.

My first memories in life are of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976. I remember how everyone celebrated on July 4, but I wasn't quite sure at that time what it was all about! I was three and a half years old.
