Charles S. Miller, Jr. was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota from 2004 to 2018.[1][2]

Education

Judge Miller graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1976.[1]

Professional career

Early in his career, Miller worked as a staff attorney for the Basin Electric Power Cooperative and as an assistant U.S. attorney. In 1987, he joined the law firm Fleck, Mather & Strutz. He worked in this capacity until he was appointed magistrate judge in 2004.[1]

Judicial career

Miller was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota in 2004 and he was reappointed in 2012.[1] He retired in 2018.[3]
