Candidate Connection

Eileen Gallagher participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on April 2, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Eileen Gallagher's responses follow below.[2]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) affordable health care for all in Utah

2) improved public schools
3) effective and honorable land management[3][4]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

I am passionate about health care for children. Our state has lagged in many ways in efforts to improve health care, access to affordable insurance, mental health services, and preventative care for children. I have practiced pediatrics for twenty years and feel it is time that a moderate with health care experience assist the families of the state of Utah as they care for their children at a legislative level, not just in the office.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[4]

Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I plan to advocate for affordable health insurance for all of Utah's children, improved health care for Utah's children, advancing the performance of Utah's public schools, improved air quality, and responsible land management our state. I chose to run for office because Utah needs a moderate candidate who has a background in science and health to advocate at the legislative level for our citizens' health.[4]
