I am a two term state representative representing the North Valley of Albuquerque. While in the legislature I have focused on key areas such as healthcare, public safety, environmental protection and economic development. In addition to my role as a state legislator, I am also an attorney specializing in aviation and space regulatory law and litigation.
  • It's not about partisan politics but working together to affect positive change in our communities.
  • Legislators are there to represent the constituencies they serve, not to push an individual agenda.
  • Forward momentum is always possible with positive engagement, grit and determination.
I am personally passionate about many areas, however, I have spent a majority of my time in the New Mexico Legislature focusing on improvements in healthcare and public safety, as well as environmental protection and diversification of state revenue sources through economic development.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in New Mexico

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
