Kevin L. Carter (Democratic Party) was a member of the Pittsburgh Board of Directors in Pennsylvania, representing District 8. He assumed office in 2015. He left office on December 4, 2023.
Carter (Democratic Party) ran for election for Pittsburgh City Controller in Pennsylvania. He did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on May 16, 2023.
Biography
Carter earned his bachelor's degree from Point Park University where he studied public administration, economics and finance. His professional experience includes serving as the chief executive officer for Adonai Center for Black Males.[1]

2015
Four of the nine seats on the Pittsburgh Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.
Incumbent Regina B. Holley won the District 2 seat without opposition. Lynda Wrenn and Moira B. Kaleida also won without opposition for the seats in Districts 4 and 6, respectively. Kevin L. Carter (D) defeated Rosemary Moriarty (R) for the District 8 seat.
Wrenn defeated Kirk B. Burkley in the primary election. Samuel J. Hurst and Tracy Link were defeated in the primary election for District 6. Patricia Rogers lost the primary election in District 8. No independent candidates filed to run in the general election.[2][3]

Funding
Carter reported $11,913.75 in contributions and $11,420.45 in expenditures to the Allegheny County Elections Division, which left his campaign with $493.30 on hand in the election.[4]

Carter received official endorsements from the Allegheny County Democratic Committee, the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.[5][6][7]
