Liane Sorenson is a former Republican member of the Delaware State Senate, representing District 6 from 1994 to 2013. She served as Senate Minority Whip. She served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 1992 to 1994.

Sorenson earned her B.S. and M.C. from the University of Delaware.

Sorenson did not run for re-election in 2012.[1][2][3]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Sorenson won re-election to the Delaware State Senate from Delaware's 6th Senate District. Sorenson defeated John Mackenzie (D). Sorenson received 7,195 votes in the election, whereas Mackenzie only received 6,831 votes.[4] Sorenson raised $69,239 for her campaign in 2008; Mackenzie raised $16,656.[5]
