Michael De Leon (Democratic Party) was a judge for Number 7 of the Bexar County Court of Law in Texas. He assumed office in 2018. He left office on December 31, 2022.

Michael De Leon earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. He became the assistant criminal district attorney for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office in 2003. He previously worked as a prosecutor for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office from 2000 to 2003.[1]

Judges of the county courts are elected in partisan elections by the county they serve and serve four-year terms, with vacancies filled by a vote of the county commissioners.[2]

Qualifications
To serve on a county court, a judge must:[2]

  • be at least 25 years old;
  • be a resident of his or her respective county for at least two years; and
  • have practiced law or served as a judge for at least four years preceding the election.
