Michael Oliverio (b. August 6, 1963) was a Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate. He represented District 13 since 1994.

Oliverio earned his B.S./B.A. from West Virginia University in 1985. He went on to receive his M.B.A. from West Virginia University in 1986.

Oliverio has served in the United States Army Reserve. He was a captain in the United States Army from 1987 to 1993.

He has worked as a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual since 1988. Oliverio served in the West Virginia State House of Delegates from 1992 to 1994. He has served in the West Virginia State Senate since 1994, representing the 13th District.[1]

2010 election

Oliverio did not seek re-election in 2010. He won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. House seat held by Representative Alan Mollohan. Mollohan lost the Republican primary, and so Oliverio faced David McKinley, a former delegate in the state Legislature.[2]

Michael Oliverio did not seek re-election to the West Virginia State Senate, District 13. Democrat Bob Beach and Republican Cindy Frich will run for the open seat in the November 2, 2010, general election.[3][4]

2006

On November 7, 2006, Michael Oliverio won re-election to the West Virginia State Senate, District 13. He was unopposed.[5]

Oliverio raised $8,900 for his campaign.[6]
