Tannya T. Duncan
Tannya Duncan was a candidate for the At-large Post 7 seat on the Houston County School District school board in Georgia in the general election on May 20, 2014. She was defeated Bryan Upshaw in a runoff election on July 22, 2014.
Biography
Duncan was raised in Perry, Georgia. After graduating from Perry High School, She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Spelman College and an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Ft. Valley State University. Duncan is a member of St. Peter AME church. She is the President of Church media & Courtesy Guild and an administrative assistant to the pastor. She also the president of Gamma Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Duncan has two daughters and one son.[1]
