Marianne Melnick

Marianne Melnick held the District 2 seat on the Houston County School District school board in Georgia. She was initially elected to the chamber in 2006 and won re-election on May 20, 2014.[1] She resigned from the board in 2015.
Biography
Melnick moved to Houston County in 1976. Melnick has been involved in a number of community organizations, including the Houston County Governor's Methamphetamine Task Force from 2004-2007, local baseball and football recreational teams, the Special Olympics, and the March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon. She also served as a Director at the Chamber of Commerce for three years, graduated from the Leadership and Management Academy, and was invited to be a guest speaker at Kiwanis, Optimist, and Lion Club meetings. Melnick was also elected to serve as President of the Georgia Association of Secondary Principals and as a Director of the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders.[2]
