Robert Venables
Robert L. Venables Sr. (b. January 21, 1933) is a former Democratic member of the Delaware State Senate, representing District 21 from 1989 to 2015.
Biography
Venables did not attend college and is a full-time senator.

Elections for the Delaware State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was July 8, 2014. Incumbent Robert L. Venables, Sr. was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Bryant L. Richardson was unopposed in the Republican primary. Richardson defeated Venables and John Potter (L) in the general election.[2][3][4]

Venables ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Delaware State Senate District 21. Venables ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 11, 2012 and defeated Bryant Richardson and John Potter in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]

On November 4, 2008, Venables won re-election to the Delaware State Senate from Delaware's 21st Senate District. Venables ran unopposed in the election and received 12,603 votes.[7] Venables raised $11,050 for his campaign in 2008.[8]
