John Kelly was a judge for the Suffolk County Family Court in New York. He joined the court in 2004, following his election. He was defeated in the election in 2013.[1][2]

Kelly also served as an acting justice of the Suffolk County Supreme Court.[3]

Education

Kelly received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1980 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1986.[1]

Career

Kelly worked as a private practice lawyer from 1986 through 2000. In 2001, he joined the Suffolk County District Court. He then became a family court judge in 2004.[1]
