|My commitment is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the best standards of education. With a focus on community engagement, family support, and the well-being of our children, I aim to continue the work ahead.
✨ Reimagining Richmond Public Schools:
- A city where budget knows no limits
- Achieving 100% accreditations
- Safety of our babies remaining the top priority
- Thriving reading and math scores
- Providing essential support for English language learners
- Soaring scholars of all ethnicities and backgrounds
- Collaboration between community, constituents, parents and staff
As a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and holder of a bachelor's degree in political science and homeland security from VCU, coupled with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice, my educational journey fuels my dedication. I am a first generation college graduate. Going to work full time during the day, going to school at night for 6 years, all while supporting two small children was not easy. But the experience taught me that no matter the adversity, your dreams are still possible!
Currently serving as the incumbent, I am committed to continuing our work.- Child Advocacy:** Pledging to prioritize the well-being of our children by creating a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.
- Community: emphasizing practical support for families, ensuring they feel empowered and involved in their children's education.
- Collaboration:** Committed to actively engaging with the community to understand its unique needs and collaboratively shape the educational landscape.
