Kathleen M. Brickley

Kathleen M. Brickley is a judge for the 36th Circuit Court, which presides over Van Buren County, Michigan. She was appointed to the court by Governor Rick Snyder in April 2012, and was elected to a full six-year term on November 6, 2012. Her current term expired on January 1, 2019.[1] On January 27, 2015, Brickley was appointed chief judge in Van Buren County. Her term as chief judge ends on December 31, 2015.[2]
Education
Brickley attended the University of Michigan and Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame.[1]
Career
Before her appointment to the 36th Circuit Court, Brickley worked as an attorney in private practice in Kalamazoo, Michigan.[1][2]

Elections
2012
Brickley was elected to the 36th Circuit Court in the general election on November 6, 2012. She defeated Matthew R. Cooper, winning 62.84% of the vote.[4][5]
