Education

Leland received a B.A. in economics from Washington State University in 1976, and a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1989.[1]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment, Leland was an attorney in private practice. He also served as a judge pro tem for seven years, and spent a year as a public defender for the City of Spokane.[2]
