Roland Toscano is the superintendent of the East Central Independent School District. Toscano was appointed superintendent in 2014. Toscano's previous career experience includes working in the district as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher.[1][2]

The East Central Independent School District board of trustees consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. All board members are elected by district.[3]

Members of the board are elected biennially in November to overlapping four-year terms.[3]

Three seats on the board were expected to be up for general election on November 5, 2024. Only one seat appeared on the ballot due to the other seats being uncontested or having no candidates file. The filing deadline for this election was August 19, 2024.
