A. Hardy Black was an at-large member of the Hesperia Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first elected to the board in 2006 and served until 2014.

Black faced two fellow incumbents and three challengers in his bid for re-election to one of three at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[1] A. Hardy Black lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Three at-large seats on the Hesperia Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents A. Hardy Black, Niccole Childs and Eric Swanson ran against challengers Kelly J. Gregg, Marcy M. Kittinger and Maria T. Gomez. Swanson and Childs won their bids for re-election, but Black was defeated by Kittinger.
