Ten point checklist
The following are the credentials for a passing grade on the Ten Point Transparency Checklist:
- Contact information for all appointed and elected administrators including a physical address, phone number and personalized email. The government entity can take measures to fight spam for emails, but email forms do not qualify the government entity for a full point.
- Terms of office.
Recommended:
- Governing boards and bylaws for agencies.
- Voter registration.
- Conflict of interest agreement (most states require employees to disclose potential conflicts of interest but they don't necessarily make the forms available).
- Example of proactively disclosed administration official information: Anderson County, SC
