Alabama Legislative Sessions Amendment (June 1975)

The Alabama Legislative Sessions Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on June 10, 1975, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the legislative session should begin on the first Tuesday of May. The session should be limited to 30 legislative days that can take place within 105 days of the start of the session. It also stipulated that special sessions may run for 12 days within a 30-day time frame.[1]
