Alabama Senate Districts, Amendment 6 (1951)

The Alabama Senate Districts, Amendment 6, also known as Amendment 6, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 11, 1951, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature would be authorized to divide the state into senatorial districts, so that the Senate will be composed of 67 senators, one senator being elected from each County.[1]
