I have advocated for the educational needs of our community’s children for 23 years as a classroom teacher, dean of students, and most recently as an assistant principal. I am excited to leverage my unique experience, education and knowledge to generate a new energy for the district and to provide a voice for our parents and classrooms.
  • Our country is founded on free and fair elections. What has recently come to light in this school board race is concerning. We are running this race because parents, like me, deserve a choice in how our schools are lead. By working together and being transparent we can build a district where students, parents, teachers and staff feel that they are welcome, they belong and can experience success.
  • My leadership on the school board will bring a voice that understands the dynamics of organizational change, school culture and student learning. Many issues face school boards: such as creating a long-term vision, mapping a course that allocates limited resource, and creating the necessary opportunities for students to reach their full potential. I strongly believe that we have tremendous teachers and staff working with our children and we must re-establish morale amongst all district employees and work to return harmony throughout the district.
  • I will be an active and frequent presence in our schools and provide a strong voice for our students, parents, and school communities. I believe the greatest challenge facing our schools is the ability to create a path to success for every student. As our community schools continue to address growth challenges from new housing developments, school choice, and older facilities it is imperative our school board representative understands how budget and policy decisions impact our mission and classrooms.
