As a 17 year Lyndon resident, I am passionate about our community and dedicated to making it an even better place for all. With a background in Administrative Justice, I have developed strong skills in leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration.

I believe in the importance of listening to the voices of our residents and working together to address the challenges we face. My priorities include enhancing local infrastructure, supporting public safety, advocating for small businesses, and promoting sustainable development to ensure a vibrant future for our city.

As a three-term Councilwoman for the City of Lyndon, some of my accomplishments include:

- Made first motion to acquire Graymoor Devondale Police.

- Made first motion to approve grant for Bowen Elementary School electronic sign.

- One of four Councilwomen to serve on the Police Headquarters Building Committee. The committee saved the taxpayers over $550,000 while still meeting the wants and needs of the Lyndon Police.

- Earned Level III - Masters in City Governance, KLC

I am committed to transparency, accountability, and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard. Together, we can create a thriving community that meets the needs of all its residents.
  • Supporting local schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations through collaboration and grant opportunities are extremely important to me
  • I support The Lyndon Police Department and it’s efforts to protect and serve Lyndon residents and businesses.
  • Community involvement and participation is vital to a successful and safe city. If you’re taking the time to read this, come to a meeting! Caucus Meeting is on the 3rd Monday of the Month and Council Meeting the 4th Monday of the month @ 6 pm.
I am passionate about ensuring equity in education and healthcare, honoring our Veterans and public servants, and responsible taxation.
As a Councilmember, we pass ordinances and a budget, that provide funding to ensure public safety, improve infrastructure, and provide garbage, recycling, yard waste, leaf removal, etc Allowing this to happen at the local level ensures QUALITY services.
I look up to my parents. My parents exemplified love, honesty, fidelity, empathy and service. My father served as a Deacon in our Catholic Church, and my mother was a Business Manager at another Catholic Church. They were prison ministers and always working to improve equality and injustice. They taught me at a young age to help others and make this world a better place.
Honesty, integrity, the ability to communicate with others and to listen to ideas outside of your own.
City Council is only effective when we work together. It is our responsibility to listen to our constituents needs and to make the city the best for everyone through appropriate resource utilization.
My only political aspiration for a higher political office. Many times people get into politics and try use their position as a means to write their resume for their next political office. I have no ulterior motive or desire other than to make Lyndon the best it can be for everyone.

I am honest, dependable and. trustworthy. I look at my fiscal responsibility to our city in terms of, if it was my own money, would I spend it that way?

I hav
Some of the core responsibilities of a Councilmember are to approve a budget, pass ordinances and to work with one another to ensure the proper management of financial resources.
I would like to leave a legacy of fiscal responsibility to our tax payers, while ensuring public safety.
It’s not the first historical event that happened in my lifetime, but the one that hit me the hardest was the attack on 911. I was 21 years old at the time.
My first job was tossing pies at Papa John’s. I worked there for about 4 years.
Who Moved My Cheese?

If you have to ask why, you haven’t read the book! I think everyone needs to read this book at least a couple times throughout their life.
Scooby Doo. He gets to solve crimes, ride around in a cool VW van, and eat Scooby snacks.
Thriller by Michael Jackson. I love Halloween and that song gets me in the spirit!
I lost my father in 2002. Although it has been over 20 years since his passing, I miss him everyday. Rather than focusing on the sadness, I try to live in his memory and in his image. I believe that serving my community, being a good person, friend, neighbor and Councilwoman, is my father living through me.
You have to be able to get along with others and not think you’re the smartest person in the room. No one Councilmember has more power than another. Our power is in our ability to listen, discuss. and vote together.
I don’t think previous experience in government or politics is important, but I think attending meetings is of the utmost importance! I attended Council meetings for the two years prior to being elected. Attending meetings really helped prepare me for office. In my opinion, that should be a prerequisite for running for office. Reading the meeting minutes is not enough to prepare you for taking office.
The ability to listen and communicate respectably to others who may not agree wit you. The ability to read and dissect a budget and to ask open-ended questions. The ability to not take political attacks personally, and the ability to see past your own wants and desires, and make the choices best for your city.
What is a Scarecrow’s favorite candy? Candy corn!!!
Financial transparency is extremely important to a healthy and stable city. We all play a vital role in government accountability. One of the strongest pillars of government accountability is through the active participation of our citizens. Come to a meeting!
