DeLong’s career experience includes working as a customer service representative with Continental and United Airlines and as a learning management system support specialist for Park University.[1]

Anessa and her family currently live in North Kansas City and have lived within the North Kansas City School District for the last 15 years. She is married to Bryant DeLong and has 2 children. Their oldest son currently attends Pre-K at Chouteau and will attend Briarcliff in the Fall. Their youngest son is a year behind his brother.

Anessa has a Bachelors of Science in Telecommunication Management. She currently works at Park University as a LMS Support Specialist within Online Operations. She is a member of Parent's at Chouteau (Chouteau PTO) and a member of the Hornet Hive at North Kansas CIty High School. She has also been a member of the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City since 2013.

An elected official has been elected to represent their peers. They should create policy that is in the best interest for all and not have a personal agenda. They need to have the ability to listen and in return be heard. They need to be able to make hard and sometimes unpopular decisions.
I am passionate, ambitious and responsible. I collaborate regularly with others in both my personal and professional life.

My first job was with Continental Airlines in Kansas City as a Customer Service Agent. I assisted travelers at ticket counter, gates and baggage service area for 20 years. Continental and United Airlines merged together in 2010.
To create a long-term vision, mapping a course that provides the necessary opportunities students need to reach their full potential. That is achieved through strategic planning as well as budgeting.
All stakeholders of the school district.
I believe that inclusion should never stop, new and established opportunities need to continue and grow.
This is very important to me and I will make a strong effort to connect directly with as many parents as possible. I plan on holding open meetings.
Overcrowded classroom sizes, teachers not having resources or support and buildings that in need of repairs all effect learning.
There is no doubt the skills needed to be successful are changing. Automation, robotics and environment management are a few of the necessary skills for success.
