Arthur Votolato
Arthur Votolato was the Chief Judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Rhode Island. Judge Vololato was appointed in 1968 and retired on July 31, 2012.[1]
Education
Judge Vololato earned his Bachelors degree in 1953 at the University of Rhode Island. Three years later he earned his Bachelor of Laws degree at the Boston University School of Law in 1956.[2]
Career
From 1962 to 1968 Vololato was the Chief Special Council of the State of Rhode Island, Dept. of Public Works. He served on the First Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, Massachusetts and Maine panels. He was Chief Judge, Massachusetts’ B.A.P. from 1981 to 1984.[2]
