Ashland, Hillsdale & Mapleton School District Levy Renewals, 4 (November 2010)
Four School District Levy Renewal measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the school districts of Ashland, Hillsdale and Mapleton, which are in Ashland County. The Mapleton issue over laps into Lorain County and the Ashland measure overlaps into Richland County.
The Ashland measure sought to renew the current property tax for the school which is set at rate of $1.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help with paying for facility improvements in the school district.
The Hillsdale measure sought to renew the current property tax for the school which is set at rate of $1.4 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help with paying for facility improvements in the school district.
The first Mapleton measure sought to renew the current property tax for the school which is set at rate of $14 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help with the general expenses of the school district.
The second Mapleton measure sought to renew the current property tax for the school which is set at rate of $4 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help with paying for facility improvements in the school district.[1]
