Barbara Rouse
Barbara J. Rouse was the chief justice for the superior court in Massachusetts.[1] She was appointed to the bench in 1985 by Governor Michael S. Dukakis.[2] Rouse was named chief justice of the superior court in 2004 and reappointed to another five-year term in 2009.[3] Due to mandatory retirement requirements, Rouse retired from the court on December 23, 2014.[4]
Education
Rouse earned an undergraduate degree from Smith College and a graduate degree from Columbia University. She was awarded her J.D. in 1973 from Boston College Law School.[5]
