Jackson completed a voter guide profile for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

What are your top priorities for the district?

Districts across the nation do lots of things well. Therefore, my focus will be on addressing the things the district is not doing well that affect every child achieving every day.

Why are you qualified to serve in this office?

I am qualified for the Board of Education because I've been working in education for the past eight years. I understand the nature of education. I understand the process of teaching students to read, differentiated instruction and building habits of the mind. I've also completed courses in teaching and learning and school business management.[3]
