Barry Tidwell

Barry Tidwell is a judge on the Sixteenth Circuit Court in Tennessee. He was appointed by Gov. Bill Haslam (R) on November 21, 2017.[1]
Tidwell was a judge of the Rutherford County General Sessions Court, from 2014 to 2017.[2] He was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1.[3]

Tidwell ran for election to the Rutherford County General Sessions Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 38.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas D. Frost and Eric Hennessee.
General: He defeated David Loughry in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 52.8 percent of the vote.
