This measure sought to add to the current operations levy by a rate of $.30 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for operational costs in the village.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of Berkey for the purpose of operating expenses at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.30 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
