Everyone deserves to be heard. There are real feelings, ideas and concerns that have gone on deaf ears for too long in our community. It seems our Council representative no longer advocates for all the people. We need fresh perspectives, tested leadership, and sincere compassion to help our citizens and community thrive. I'm running to bring the people's voice back to the County Council. I've dedicated my entire life to public service with over 30 years in the U.S. Army. Because of this experience, I'll govern on principles not politics and utilize my sense of duty to reach across party lines and get things done. Public service is a sacred trust and privilege and it's not about me. I take my campaign slogan very seriously: People First, Community Always.
  • The lack of actively listening to constituents, surfacing their concerns with dignity and collaborating at the County level is the most pressing issue. Addressing this issue takes creative leadership and the ability to build coalitions. I would encourage active collaboration between the Council, the Board of Education, Public Safety and other support organizations to better understand issues, encourage feedback and formulate supportive solutions.
  • I understand what it means to serve others, build consensus, and solve issues to support: education, public safety, community investment, economic development, and the environment. I've established a legacy of service to out Country and Continued Service to our Community. COMBAT VETERAN: over 30 years of U.S. Army Active Duty service, achieved the rank of Colonel, and awarded the Legion of Merit. DEIDCATED TO FAMILY: married over 30 years, two children who graduated Harford County Public Schools. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: over 35 years serving youth through the Boy Scouts of America. EDUCATOR: Adjunct Professor, Harford Community College. HARFORD COUNTY GOVERNMENT: Veteran Board Member, Commission on Veterans Affairs.
  • At the constituent level, I would hold regular town hall sessions across the District to better inform and hear concerns. To ensure proactive public awareness of support services and emerging issues, I would proactively share with constituents through public social media, emails and websites.
