Two Black River School District Levy Addition were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Black River school district area which is in Ashland and Lorain Counties.
Both measures were defeated
The first measure seeks to add to the current school levy by a rate of 3.8 mills in order to pay for emergency requirements as needed in the school district.

The second measure seeks to add to the current school income tax by a rate of .75 percent in order to pay for current expenses as needed in the school district.[1]
