My name is Blessing Oluwadare from Edgewood Maryland, am a mother of 3 kids graduated from Strayer University had my bachelor's in business administration also my Master from the school as Information security and Assurances, have been in the United state for 12 years. Am currently working for state and one of the candidates for US house Maryland district 1.
  • I will be more aware of people opinions and needs and be able to advocate for them in Washington. Also, one of my major job duties will be to raise revenue through taxes. make the whole communities happy and also will like to hear their voice and attends to their needs.
  • I am hard working and never give up.I am always saying kind and motivating things to people. I always love helping people. I am not lazy, and I want people to believe in themselves and to have a growth mindset
  • I will participate in committees to study bills, hold public hearings, get expert testimony and listen to votes so that legislation can be passed. Also make sure we have solid health coverage for people which they can benefit from it.
I am passionate about the three things I noted above. Let’s attract new business that isn’t in our state and offer an opportunity. We can also offer tax credits. We need to increase our industry along with population. In doing this, the housing market will improve, schools will be full, and more money will be spent in More people also means more taxpayers in our state. The solution is, more taxpayers, not more taxes. We need to have effective rehab and work to get the users to be productive citizens. We need to effectively reduce and eventually stop abortion. Especially tax funded abortion! The drug crisis is another disrupting and crushing blow to communities, families and businesses. We have to take control needle exchange along with the drug paraphernalia that is included with the needles.

Campaign website

Oluwadare’s campaign website stated the following:

Affordable Healthcare

In congress, Blessing Oluwadare will be committed to bringing down the costs of healthcare and lowering the cost of insurance. This includes preventing insurance companies from increasing premiums and deductibles while reducing coverage. She will continue to fight for paid family and medical leave, so when someone is sick, they stay home and keep us all safe. Blessing will vote to cap the cost of critical prescription drugs and insulin, and she will defend the Affordable Care Act and work every day to expand on it.

Serve the Underserved

We will improve resources and opportunities for undeserved people in Maryland with access to insurance, jobs, tax-breaks, and housing.

Protect Working Class

People that are working deserve livable wages and should not continue to suffer at the hands of self-serving politicians and lobbyists.

Tax Reform

Corporations should be taxed fairly and there should be tax relief for small business owners. We need to reduce taxes for the working class and allow families to to keep more of their hard-earned money to pay down debt, save, and also invest.

Creating Jobs

Blessing’s plan includes creating more job opportunities for under-served communities. Connecting low-skilled workers with training for high-skilled jobs. We can — and we must — continue fighting to create well-paying jobs with good benefits in Maryland.

There are millions of people who are working in low-paying jobs because they don’t have the skills to compete for the higher-skilled jobs that employers are struggling to fill. To that end, it’s more companies to recruit from talent pools they may not have previously considered. There is a common saying that talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. There should be a priority to create more opportunities for the under-served. It is also equally important that all industries are representative of the communities they serve.

Grow Our Economy

Economic development should always be a priority. We should invest in the top economic factors such as education and training, natural resources, power, transportation, and communication. We have to be environment-friendly, support early education, and be better neighbors. Blessing Oluwadare believes that the economy should work for everyone.[2]
