Burnie Bridge was a judge of the 4th District of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She was appointed to this position in 2007 and resigned in January of 2010.[1][2]
Education
Judge Bridge was born on September 16, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She received her B.A. degree from Miami University, Ohio in 1970 and her J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1982.[2]
Career
Judge Bridge began her legal career in 1983 as a private practice lawyer. In 1985, she became an Assistant Attorney General and, in 1993, a Deputy Attorney General. From 2003 to 2005, she was the Chair of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission. She then worked for the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services as the Administrator of the Division of Children and Family Services until she was appointed to the Court of Appeals.[2]
